PSAT Help?

A lot of the PSAT is common sense and reasoning--read each question carefully and yze it. Think about your answer when you write it (I ume they've put essays on there by now), then read your answer through and make sure it answers the question. I grade state aptitude tests, and I can't tell you how many times I've had to give a failing grade to a wonderful essay, no matter how much it broke my heart, because the student gave a wonderful response that had nothing to do with the question. On the logic portions, reasoning is essential--when they ask you which answer would follow in the pattern, look carefully, and see what the symbols have in common--if there's a green square inside an orange circle, then an orange circle inside a green square, then a blue square inside a yellow circle, it's logical that the next one would be a yellow circle inside a yellow square (Square in circle, circle in square, square in circle, etc., green in orange then orange in green, then blue in yellow . . . )
