Help with maplestory jobs?

I am level 26 with 112 str and 30 dex, what do i need to job advance, what should i put my skill points in, and am i on the right track? I want to be a brawler btw. I cant hit alligators, and my friends who are level 23 can. Is that weird? I've been trying to put it all on dex.
