Top marks for a good answer?

Ok its been going on for years.I kept rejecting him.He would not commit.Well we had our first bad row as friends.BAD.Since then we have been ok to each other but never addressed the row.Lately he cannot even look at me, but it seems more like he is upset and angry rather that just angry.I don't know what to do.There were feelings between us in the past,so I am afraid that he will be very negative if I approach him.I suppose what I am asking is should I go to him and try to patch things up (even though he said some terrible things).Would a man see this as desperation, or respect it?
