Is baby formula fattening? my granddaughter is getting pretty heavy?

I myself had fed and formula fed babies, while I think that formula is thicker and heavier as it definitely kept my formula fed babies "full" and content longer, I think the truth behind chunky babies tend to lean more on the parents shoulders. I have noticed that heavy babies (not all...please don't shoot me down people) tend to be needy babies whose momma's would rather stuff something more in their mouths (another bottle, a teething cookie, something) to get them to "be satisfied" then to play with them, socialize with them and untimately get them a little exercize time on the floor.
