Can I lance my abcess?

went to dentist 2 days ago ..he could not lance bec no pocket was found ..he put me on antibiotic...has been two days with little relief! now a huge pocket has formed and is painful bad..is sat no dentist i am a very rural mountain area..i wont see him until Mon I cant stand the pressure ..is it safe to drain myself? HELP IT HURTS!!
